Yui & Thanatos take the day off to go fishing. :)

The ocean.

THE OCEAN.

I can't do it. It was a nightmare. Took me ages to think how to do an ocean. How do you people do your oceans?! I can't, I just can't. It looks so wrong. Any tips, pleeeeeeeezzzzz. :worship:

awww x3 so cuuute :D
hmm.. u should make the water more wild :)
not like the straight lines u did in the water :)
but the color use in the water is very well :D
try making waves by bobling some of those straight lines and using white/very light blue to make the foam on those waves x3
a bit hard to explain tho' :giggle:

I think the two figures and the idea are really nice <3
About the ocean...First, I agree with Eadwine...and then..maybe You overdid a bit with the twinkle stars (sorry I dunno how to call it ^^; )They look so regularly...hum...but I love how you did the water around the pillars of the platform..

This looks so good!

Glad to see you''re submitting again ^^ (it's been quiet for a while, right? Or is my Inbox malfunctioning again?)

AS for the water, you might want to make it more wild, it looks a bit straight. Still, this looks great!
Love how the umbrella shares some of the shade on the girl. ^^

Joey: Say Ross, if Homo sapiens, were actually HOMO sapiens... Is that why they've become extinct?
Ross: Joey, homo sapiens are people!
Joey: Hey, I'm not judging...

In this case I think the water looks fine, but to be more realistic, it should be more "wavy". I'm no good with water myself, so I can't say how to go about doing that^^; One other thing... if you compare the detail of the characters to the umbrella...it looks rather plain. Oh well, this is awesome! I shall favorite!

oh that's lovely! the characters are well drawn and i absolutely love the clouds!!! XD *is easily fascinated by clouds* :P

the ocean, correct me if i'm wrong, but did you use a pattern gradient for it? there's nothing wrong with using that, but the water looks rather flat and doesn't have any depth, except for the ripples by the pillars and fishing line. um, i don't usually do water as well, but when i do i try to paint it in, that way it fits with the overall image. and like what the others mentioned, try not to use straight lines for the waves. if it helps, use picture references ^_^

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Great. For the water, you could add some more highlights and shadows to make it seem wavier... like, kind of squigly... thick... yeah. Umm, hard to explain. You could always look at references. ^^;; The water looks really great splashing onto the pillars though and the wood in general is fantastic. I don't want to be too critical... but I think the umbrella needs a little bit more depth. Compared to the people and the dock, it seems a little too cartoony, y'know? Looks great, though. LOVE the clouds! I wish I could do clouds like you *envy envy envy* :glomp: :glomp: SO HAPPY to see your work!!!!!
